Daily Score
Use Daily Scores to record participation, attendance-based grades, or other daily classroom activities. Daily Scores and comments can be updated from either the Gradebook or the Attendance Roster.

Teacher Connect > Gradebook
Option 1: Update Daily Scores from the Gradebook
- Open the Teacher Connect Gradebook.
- Locate the Daily Score Category.
- Click a student's Daily Score Average.
- Locate the desired Score column, enter a numeric score or EX (Exclude).
- In the Comment column, enter comments as needed .
- Close the Daily Score Detail screen to recalculate the student's Daily Score Average.
- Daily Score Detail screen may be printed or exported to excel.
Option 2: Update Daily Scores in the Attendance Roster
- Open the Teacher Connect Attendance Roster.
- Select the appropriate date.
- Select the > icon next to the attendance status to enter comment.
- Click in the daily score column and enter a score or an EX.
- Save the roster screen.
Note: Attendance comments can be entered for the current day and any dates teachers are authorized to backdate attendance. If backdating attendance is not allowed then you must use the gradebook to update scores. Example: If teachers can backdate attendance by one day, comments can be entered for today and yesterday.Automatic Daily Score Updates from Attendance Reasons.
The Daily Score Update Process runs daily at 12:30 AM and 1:30 PM.
- If a student's attendance is changed within 7 days of receiving a Daily Score of 0, the system may automatically replace the zero with the predetermined score associated with the attendance reason. Example: Student is Absent, turns in an excuse and is now Absent Unexcused the daily score may be updated to a number or "EX"
- The process only updates Daily Scores that remain 0. Scores that have been manually changed by a teacher to another value are not updated.
