Alert
A teacher can choose whether or not to display these columns in the settings tool of the gradebook.
There are three possible columns displaying averaged grades in a teacher gradebook.
  1. MPA- The Marking Period Average is the running average within a marking period that immediately updates with assignment grade additions and/or grade edits.
  2. CMPA- The Cumulative Marking Period Average is an average of any existing posted marking period grades. In the first marking period the CMPA will be the same as the MP1 posted grade.
  3. PFA- The Projected Final Average is an average calculated using the building final average formula.  The PFA includes all posted marking period grades, mid-term exam, final exam, plus the running marking period average from any marking period that does not yet have a posted grade.
