SIS: eSchoolData Migration to Amazon Web Services (AWS)

AWS Migration Information for the eSD Software

We are pleased to announce that the eSchoolData migration to Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been completed ahead of schedule! The new environment is now available, and staff may begin logging into eSchoolData using the new URL provided by your School District or Career & Technology Center.


New eSchoolData URLs

Generic Loginhttps://sis-csiu.eschooldata.com/ can be used if SSO is NOT enforced. 
You may log in this way but the CSIU recommends use URLs that includes your district identifier.
Locate your "District Identifiers" so you can update your public facing links with the new AWS URL & the district identifier.
Warning
The district identifier may NOT be -1.  If a -1 is listed please enter a valid district identifier and save the screen.
  • Staff Access - Interoperability > eSP > Settings: Login Page

  • Parent Access - Interoperability > eSP > Settings: Login Page

  • Guru Access - Interoperability > eSP > Settings: Login Page

  • Student Access - Interoperability > eSP > Settings: Student Portal



  • CTE Portals - Interoperability > CTE Portal > Settings


  • Online Registration - 

    • Interoperability > eSP > Settings: Miscellaneous tab 
      Enable "Display Online Registration Link" on Login page


    • Interoperability > eSP > Settings: Login Page tab
      Click the Parent Portal App icon () click the online registration link and copy URL



Required Actions for SIS Admins

1. Update eSchoolData URLs

Upon receiving the AWS URLs locate and update all links to eSchoolData that exist on:

  • District websites, Staff portals, Internal documentation, Bookmarks, Student Handbooks or other locally maintained resources

2. Update Online Registration & CTE Portals

Clients using Online Registration and CTE Portals must update the public facing URLs

3. Update Guru API Credentials

Clients using Guru APIs must update their API credentials after the migration.

4. Create New Communication Alert Mail Profiles

Clients using Communication Alerts must create new mail profiles in the AWS-hosted environment.

Test Environment

All clients will continue to have access to a Test Server.  Databases are updated each Saturday evening (not daily).
