Search Tips and Operators
The Search offers a variety of ways to find information you are looking for. The following is a list of common search practices and operators that you can try to help narrow your search results.
1. Try entering the first few letters or numbers in a search field.
For Example, you have a staff with a last name of Gochnaur. You know the first few letters begin with 'GOC' but are unsure of the rest of the spelling. Enter Goc in your name search field and click the search button. The system will bring up any employee with those first few letters.
2. Wildcard
Use the % sign to designate a wildcard. For example, if you have a check number and know the last few digits of the check number, but unsure of the first few digits, you can enter a % with the number (%1534) to get a list of results that end in 1534.
3. Search by a range of letters.
Use a bracket with a dash. For example, you want to search for first name names that begin with J through K, you can use [J-K] to get a list of results that begin with a J up through and including K.
