Update Template

Info
Teacher Connect Gradebook > Template
Click the Templates button to review and  update saved templates
  1. Highlight the desired template to edit the template
    1. IMPORTANT - Before applying a template in a NEW School Year you should edit the template and update assignment due dates to the new year.   However, due dates can be changed in the gradebook once the template is applied.  This is useful if a class is further ahead or behind.
  1. Keep in mind that progress report grades are calculated based on assignment due dates.
  2. Example: I created my template in 24-25 and want to apply it to 25-26 classes.
    1. Before applying the template I will open the template and adjust the assignment DUE & Publish Dates by clicking directly in the due date cell and enter (or select) new dates for each assignment.
    2. Daily Score – Select, Include, Display and enter the following values:
      1. Max Point = 10 (or a number that matches the LEAs grading policy)
      2. Present = 10  (or a number that matches the LEAs grading policy)
      3. AE, AU, A*, TE, TU, T* = 0 (MUST be a zero so the grade of zero is automatically updated based on the reason the student was absent)
      4. Weight = Percent value counted towards the Marking Period Grade (33, 34, 55, etc.)
        1. *Note all category averages should equal 100% (Skill 33 + Knowledge 34 + Daily Score 33= 100%)

Adding Assignments - Templates vs Gradebook

  1. Once templates exist and are linked to classes assignments can be added to the template which will automatically add the assignment to each gradebook AND be part of the template for the next school year.
  2. Assignments can be added to the individual gradebooks but will not be included in the applied template.
