Academic Standing (Rank) Display Options
Scheduling > Courses > Edit: Class Rank Option
Reports > Grade Reporting > Class Rank
- For a true cumulative average use the average options from the Academic Standing (Rank) Display Options.
- Select the average used to rank students.
Averages
Marking Period
Setup: Scheduling > Courses > Marking Period Totals (course options)
Run: Academic > Marking Period Totals
Courses that have the "Marking Period Totals" course option selected are calculated into the report card marking period average.
- Raw Average - Does not include course credit values
- Unweighted Average and GPA - Includes credit values but NOT course weights
- Weighted average and GPA - Includes credit values and weights
Cumulative Average (Current Year)
The average of marking period averages - Example: MP1 + MP2 / 2
- Not recommended for High School report cards because it is not a true cumulative average for the current year.
Cumulative Average (All Years)
The Cumulative Average Overall (All MPs) uses prior years’ Marking Period grades (all MPs) and the current year’s Marking Period grades (through the current MP), as if they were all from the same MP.
- NOT recommended for High School report cards because it is not a true cumulative average of all years.
