SIS: Roster Attendance Status Details

Attendance Status Details

Attendance Status Details allow you to record additional information about a student's attendance, such as notes, attendance reasons, room changes, tardy times, or early dismissals.

Option 1 - Single Student

Open Attendance Status Details

  1. Open Teacher Connect and navigate to Roster.

  2. Locate the student's attendance status (Present, Absent, Tardy, etc.).

  3. Hover over the attendance status and click the Attendance Status Details icon >.

  4. The Attendance Status Details window opens.


Available Options

Notes

Enter a note related to the student's attendance. If using the Daily Score feature you may enter notes regarding the daily score.

Idea
When a note is saved, a note icon appears next to the student's attendance status.

Present Status

If a student leaves class during the period:

  1. Select Present.

  2. Click the Minutes icon.

  3. Click the + Icon to enter the amount of time the student was out of class.


Absent Status
  1. Select Absent.

  2. Choose an Attendance Reason (if available).

  3. Optionally select:

    • Note

    • Verified

  4. Enter additional details as needed.

AlertNote: Some attendance reasons may not be available for selection. Contact your attendance administrator if you have questions about available options.


Tardy or Dismissed Status
  1. Select Tardy or Dismissed.

  2. Enter the appropriate Time In or Time Out.

  3. Select an Attendance Reason (if available).

  4. Optionally select:

    • Note

    • Verified

  5. If the student was also out of class during the period, click the Minutes icon and enter the time out of class.


Room Changes

If enabled by your district, you may be able to select a different room number for the student.

IdeaNote: Room selections and attendance reasons may not be available in all districts.

Save Changes

When finished, click Save on the Attendance Roster screen to update the student's attendance details.

Option 2 - All Students

Enter attendance statuses for all students in the class

Teacher Connect > Roster
  1. From the top of the Attendance column - hover over the status heading, click the  icon to open the attendance status screen.
  2. Select attendance status, reason, note, verify
  3. click Apply Attendance or Apply all
Save Changes

When finished, click Save on the Attendance Roster screen to update the student's attendance details.
